I'm sure there are thousands for reasons why it may appear that your co-corker is wearing the same pants. Remember looks can be deceiving.

The key to your question is the co-worker has been wearing the same pants for 2 weeks. With that said, it's safe to assume that he has lots of other pants. Since they have been working with you for more than two week, and this seems to be the first something like this came to your attention.

Maybe there's something going on in there life, that caused this change.

1. Family Problems

2. Money Problems

3. illness in family (this can be traumatic)

What it seems like your seeing is a drastic change in someones behavior. Be there for that person, they may need that versus criticism.

Remember this sounds like a drastic change in behavior. Which may need your support.

Keep it Positive

are you sure you don't work with my husband? sounds like my husband. How about the same shoes every day? if so its probably my husband.
Anyway he does have more than one pair. Actually all of his work pants are the same exact style. Although, not all are the same color. It annoys me too. What can I do.
I think you should joke with them and say something about it.
Maybe they would get the hint- if its not my husband I guarantee his wife would be grateful for your noticing.

I just read the other response- yes, look at the financial situation first. If the guy is like my husband, he has plenty of money and just doesn't care. He has found the pants he likes and will where the same color/style everyday. the are clean though.
The best answer I agree with is the gift card! That would be helpful. Of course my mother gave my husband money to buy new shoes and he never did. Even though we could afford them, she was sick of looking at them. He does have a foot problem so finding comfortable shoes is hard for him. Anyway good luck and have some tact whatever you decide.

I would talk to the supervisor if there is a problem with this person's odour that causes offense to others from not changing clothing. There is someone at my workplace, Chris D., who is obese and may have autism. He wears the same pair of cream Dockers every. single. day. as well as the same pair of shoes and dirty socks, all of which cause a bad smell (flatulence, B.O. and crotch) and has not helped the company's image: we are an insurance company. I had another coworker, an older woman who wore the same pair of green corduroy pants to work daily. She could easily afford to buy a recent model Toyota, but couldn't afford a change of clothes. She was soon fired for this very reason.

I have to agree with most of the others. It's not your business, and there may be personal reasons which are ALSO not your business!
Can't you just do your job without worrying about what someone else is doing or wearing? Remember, people who talk about other people get talked about back.

Try to put it out of your mind, and be a friend - or at least a friendly co-worker.

Well, its not your place to tell someone not to wear the same pants over and over again. Is it possible that this person can not afford new pants and washes them every night, maybe they have several pairs... maybe they are loosing/gaining weight and wont buy more until they are the size they are going to be. Unless they smell bad and truly offend you someone elses hygene is none of your business.

Don't assume too much. I have about 5 pairs of pants that look the same and many shirts of the same color. If you really want to find out spill some mustard and see if its there tomorrow.

I only have a few pairs of pants that fit because I am in the process of losing weight and don't want to buy new ones, so I have to wash them often, but I do wash them.

I'd be dying to ask but you just can't, no way to ask w/o hurting their feelings. But now, some people do buy more than 1 of the same thing if they think it fits real good or whatever.

Give her the money to buy more clothes. Maybe she doesn't make enough money to buy a bunch of stuff. I wear the same stuff to work over and over too.

If your co-worker is odorous, then he represents a health hazard and his supervisor should be asked to talk to him.
If he keeps himself and his clothing clean....it is none of your business what he chooses to wear.
