1.
$550 for 10 tickets
$550 / 10 = $55 for 1 ticket.

$4.99 for 3 pears
$4.99 / 3 = $1.66 (to nearest cent) for 1 pear.

2.
Divide top and bottom by 15:
15 / 30 = 1/2.

Divide top and bottom by 9:
9 / 36 = 1/4.

3.
-17 + x = 4
Add 17 to each side:
x = 21.

-2x = 55 = 75
There is something amiss with this: it shouldn't have 55 = 75.

4(x - 3) = 48
Divide both sides by 4:
x - 3 = 12
Add 3 to each side:
x = 15.

550/10= x/1 --> x= $55.00
4.99/3 = x/1 --> x = $1.66

15/30 = 1/2
9/36 = 1/4

-17+x=4
x = 4 +17 =21
-2x+55 =75
-2x = 20
x = -10
4(x-3)=48
x-3 = 12
x = 15
