I only know about the older punk bands like The Clash, The Buzzcocks, The Bad Brains, Black Flag, Fear, Minor Threat, The Circle Jerks, Flipper, Agent Orange, The Misfits.

The Offspring is good but they're really more pop punk/alt rock. If you want punk music the Clash, Ramones, and Dead Kennedys are good
