take a hanger (take a mark)
hip and shoulder (bump someone fairly)
kick long and direct (long kick usually to a forward)
flood the back line (clog the backline with players)

well, you need to be more specific about what the test will cover. you are better off looking it up in the encylcopedia or on WIki (wikipedia has a reliable article on 'american football') you cant define terms without understanding basics of the game
