Good Q. As I got into my mid-30s, I realized that there were certain behaviors that were holding me back and causing distress in my life. One of those times when you have enough life experience to detect trends. Here are my tips:
1) Look at the things you're unhappy with in your life.
2) Analyze why things are such
3) Own up to what is your fault
4) Consciously work on correcting the behaviors you do not like.
5) Keep at it - ingrained habits are hard to break.

I've learned that everything happens for a reason.
I've also found that if I do one helpful thing, be it pick up a piece of trash, help someone out, anything be it little or big, people tend to follow suit. It's just like those commercials where it's like a cascade of good deeds. I'm no saint, but I try, at least once a day, to do something nice.

That is a great question. People need to stop thinking with all negative things like gossip, criticizing, making fun of and start forgiving others. Everyone needs to stop wanting to hurt other people. This includes doing whatever you wish to get ahead. Do what you wish as long as it does not harm anyone or yourself.

I love your question, because this is one of the priorities in life from my own point of view.
Tips about what I try.
First of all to be true to yourself, to be true to what you believe, but ALWAYS listening to the other side. This takes us to number two:
To develop empathy. All of us come from different paths of life, we all have our own scars; hate sometimes build upon those scars. Empathy makes us see others struggling just the way we do.
Positive attitude. It is easy to be negative, building positive attitudes about ourselves, will make us more positive towards others. This takes us to number three (or is it four?lol):
Learning to love ourselves, I know it has been said thousand of times, but if we love ourselves, we can love others.
We become a better person when we are who we are. We will always be imperfect, but we can make feel others perfect through love and understanding.
IF we all could do this around the world, all hatred (perhaps) could be erased. This would be paradise :-)

I think that compassion may be the key, because this way you don't judge others, you feel compelled to listen and support them, its easier to forgive and continue without resentment. (compassion is a feeling that I haven't mastered yet, but I'm trying)
Also, I have learned that listening with an open heart and mind can help.

I like your ideology and I think it's more than possible. We can all change if we really want to or at least attempt to.

To be noble is not to think you are better than someone else, to be noble means you are better than who you used to be.
