Like one time I had a lollypop in my mouth, and some people though it was a cigerette. Can't assumptions sometimes be dangerous starting unnesscary conflicts amongst people. Like lets say someone told my parents I smoke, while I was eating a lollypop imagine how much **** i'd be in. Another example is if someone assumes something about you or you're family without getting the actual truth, it can ruin people's image of you.

people have a lot of self importance, because of this they assume that what they think is correct. That is why without any reason they make assumptions and then don't follow up to see if what they assumed was correct.

The truth is that you make assumptions every day. It is natural, and often necessary. It is an assumption every day when you step outside and expect not to be hit by a car or attacked by a wild dog. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but you'd be crazy not to follow these assumptions every day, or you could never leave your house. Considering that it is a natural occurence, then, it follows that people might carry that necessary part of natural thinking into unnecessary situations.

So take the cigarette thing. How many people smoke? LOTS. How many people suck on lollipops? Not so many. Naturally someone might assume that was a cigarette. More times than not, they would be right. Can it cause bad things to happen? Sure. Sometimes. But that is why context is so important. If you were just sucking a lollipop, it would be easy to prove you were not smoking, because you would not smell like that. That is part of the context of smoking: you smell bad.

So, in conclusion, people make silly assumptions because it is a natural part of the human thought process. If you live your life right, however, and develop your reputation, then you shouldn't have to worry about bad assumptions against you. Your parents will know you are telling the truth when you explain to them about the lollipop and they know that you are honest. If you are NOT honest, then THAT is the problem, not the assumption.

yeah I know what you mean. People just sometimes need to mind their own. However, it's human nature to jump to conclusions. I'd say to just not mind them, as much as possible. If they tell on your with your parents for smoking, just tell them the truth. They'll believe you when they smell that your breath is clean. ;-)
