Basically, since woman was created for man then he should have the last and final say because he is ultimately in charge, wouldn't you agree?

I believe parents need to show a united front.

I also believe if one parent is unilaterally running the show, Someone is going to become disgruntled. There needs to be an acknowlegement of both partners input. Decisions should be arrived at together, particularly in matters of finance and parenting.

When a couple cannot agree, there needs to be a way to compromise. If an issue cannot come to an agreeable compromise, then the partners may want to agree that one wins out on this decision, but the other can have the "final say" on the next stalemate.

Communication, my friend, it's what makes the world go 'round.

Oh, and P.S. :

"Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.' So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them," (Gen. 1:26-27; see also, 2:7,21-23).

It appears in this passage that "Man" refers to our species, male and female, to rule over the earth and all it's creatures. I'm not seeing where He makes a distinction that woman was created For man. Rather, this passage seems to imply that they were created as equals.

I actually believe that man should be the head of the household, BUT a loving, caring man would consult his wife and take her opinion on the subject. Marriage is a team effort, but every team needs a leader. Some marriages need the woman to be that leader, though, because the man can't or won't do the job. Whatever works for you.

The woman was created as a help-meet for the man. It is the mans responsibility to be the spiritual leader of the household. IF he fails to take that position, then his HELP-MEET is the one that is to do it. It is entirely up to the man on how his house should be run, but he has to be willing to take the reins.

woman was created to be a companion to man. I do believe the husband should have the final say, but only if he deserves to be treated with such respect. If he uses that authority only to be a tyrant then he forfeits that authority.

There can be some discussions and brainstorming. However if the man is fully capable of performing his job the Christian way, then yes. Unfortunately there are some men who don't live up to the Christian perspective of a man. Submitting to Jesus.

The man is the priest of the house. They (husband and wife) should pray about the matter and the man should be the spokesperson. The balance of logic (man) and emotions (female) will give a whole perspective of the problem.

(*laughter*) No.

It would get a little dicey in all those families where there's a single parent, and that parent is the Mom.

You amuse me. I really appreciate the fact that you're so consistently archaic, sexist and conservative, in your questions. When my day has been really rough at the office, I go search for one of your latest missives. I have to admit, you make me chuckle. Thank you.

Depends on the subject matter.

One problem may revolve around the woman, and therefore she should have the final say and vice versa.

Of course I agree, Sandstorm. Unfortunately, society has changed and the values/morals that we once had are gone. It's such a shame.
