Ok I have heard of a music genre called New Jack Swing?

How is this genre described...I know it has something to do with early 90's r&b

It had about a 10-year run, from the late 1980s to mid-1990s, and was contemporary R&B-styled lyrics and singing combined with hip hop "swing" beats, popular from the late '80s to early/mid-'90s.

Bobby Brown is the artist most associated with the groove. Some of the artists who also had success with the style are El DeBarge, En Vogue, Father MC, Michel'le, Monica, New Edition, New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul and Pebbles.
