I drive a stick (obviously) and this morning I went to start my car and my clutch was "loose", like it needed to be warmed up. So I let the car warm up for about 5 minutes and press on the clutch but it still was very loose. I couldn't change gears and there haven't been any funny smells. Any suggestions on what's wrong?

to me it sounds like your clutch master cylinder is low on fluid it is what creates the pressure to move the clutch and throw out Bering so the car can be put in gear...good luck

The hyundai accent has a hydraulic clutch, A common fault on these cars is the clutch slave cylinder springs a leak, check down the front of the engine to see if it is leaking, also check the resovior on the master cylinder for lack of fluid.
Put it on a tow truck and take it to a shop to be checked.

the clutch doesn't have anything to do with how warmed up the car is. Your transmission is not part of the engine therefore it doesn't need to be "warmed up".
I'm not sure what you mean but it being loose. it could be a lot of things... a broken or missadjusted cable to a need to replace the clutch pads or whatever they're called. Doing a clutch job on a standard tranny is not as big of a deal as working on an automatic tranny so I would definitelly take the car to someone who knows more. Hard to tell from your description.

If you have a hydraulic clutch, there may be a leak and you have air in the line. This would cause the clutch not to release and the pedal to feel spongy. There may be other parts that have worn, like the clutch slave or master cylinder.
The best thing would be to have it checked out and repaired. But I'm sure you already knew that. good luck.

take it into the shop and see if anyone can tighten it and see if there is something wrong with it...here is what i think it is....

When the clutch pedal is pressed, a cable or hydraulic piston
(could be this...it might be broken or just out of place, or loose) pushes on a release fork( could be this too), which also presses the throw-out bearing(could be this). There also is the diaphragm spring, that could be gone, loose, or busted, also i would check the pins..they could be loose and not pulling the clutch disc away.

its most likely the clutch pins.

if the clutch is bad it will slip when you are in gear, you also may not be able to get in gear when its running. so..... with the car off put it in gear start the car and try to move if it doesn't slip its probably a linkage problem or an adjustment issue
