Well, I think that drinking and driving in itself is pretty dumb. So, if her "dumbness" was all just an act for publicity, it was a very dangerous one. Why would anyone drink and drive as "an act"? Was she also "acting" when she pretended she didn't know she wasn't supposed to drive after her license was revoked? If she hopes to change, more power to her. But I am not sure that her apparent stupidity is 100% a facade.

Makes you think what she is gonna be like when she gets out huh? She might come out and join a convent. I mean she's a changed person after only four days??? Then again it could be a plot to show that she has seen the error of her way so she can get sprung from jail early again.
