We are flying up to Buffalo, NY and driving to Toronto staying one night, then driving down to Niagara Falls to stay a few days. Questions are this: 1. how far from Buffalo to Toronto? 2. Where should we stay in Toronto? 3. What to do in Toronto, only there 1/2 a day? 4. How far to Niagara Falls and where should we stay there?

If you avoid peak traffic times, you can make it from Buffalo to Toronto in roughly 2 to 2.5 hours. Toronto has plenty of hotels, B&Bs, hostels and everything else; it depends on your preferences. Definitely check out CN tower.

Niagara is most of the way back; about 2 hours from Toronto (less than an hour from Buffalo). I prefer to stay in the Canadian side (the NY side is nothing spectacular); there are a range of places. The big hotels right alongside the falls are worth the price, but if you're on the budget side there are cheaper digs within walking distance. AVOID the TGI Friday's at all costs. The Brazilian steakhouse across the street is supposed to be excellent.

Hi,
Toronto is about an hour and a half drive from the falls.
Where do you want to stay? If you want to stay right down town, i suggest the Delta Chelsea.

Things to do....The CN tower, Center Island, Shoppin at the Eaton Centre, Ontario Place.

There are many places to stay at the falls, all of them good.
Persoanly, I like the Marriott, Embassy suites or the Fallsview Casino hotels.

Enjoy your trip, and welcome to Canada

Mapquest your address to the address you are going to. The thru way would be the easiest. Or you could take highway 17 west to highway 390 into rochester and hit the thru way there. Once you go over the rainbow bridge into canada, it's pretty much a straight shot into Toronto.
