If they make the postseason? They've been in the driver's seat for quite a while. Sure they slump now and then but all teams do. The Sox with their pitching (getting better after Lester comes back) and their high powered offense have what it takes to win it all this year. They are more than a wild card team and more than a 1st round and out. Once the playoffs come, they will be ready to play.

Once you get into the playoffs pitching becomes much more important. Example, the Oakland A's might have a more difficult time getting to the playoffs than going deep into the playoffs once there in because their pitching can dominate in a short series. If you are a Red Sox fan just pull for your team to get there and hope you get more heads than tails once your in.
