I'm looking for a brief description of Jamaica from a native. What makes it unique? What should a tourist know about Jamaica that he or she cannot find out on wikipedia.com or a tourist guide?

Wikepedia will not tell you that Jamaica is a place where no matter how stressed out you are, when you get here you can afford to be carefree. If you faint in the street, a hundred people will be there to pick u up, if you can't bury your dead, the members of your community will help you foot the bill. In Jamaica, no matter how hard your life might be you will never die of hunger. A jamaican always tries to make you smile. No one can tell you about the essence of this island, you would have to experience it to understand.
