I think we have too many bleeding heart liberals and thank God some of us are old enough that we don't have much longer to be around to find out from Paul Harvey "The rest of the story"!
Not only do they influence our men & women, but our childern who have to grow up and pay the consequences for our misjudgements or mistakes. The states are too diversified to have a culture of 1 type. Toto we don't live in Kansas anymore!
One thing that has not changed for centuries...Man is his own worst enemy! Think about it!

We went from reading books to get information to surfing the web.
We are a bit lazier, and more impatient
We are very far away from establishing a culture.
We hurt the enviornment
We are segregating more and more people

1. Spending TOO MUCH time in front of computers.
2. Children are not allowed to go outside and play with others. (School recess is becoming a thing of the past.)
3. Poor diet.
The above leads to suppressed immune systems, obesity, and lack of social skills as well as detachment from reality and will eventually lead to a deterioration of the development of wisdom.

Food is now available from fewer suppliers. [The spinach disaster should be a wake up call]
The price of fuel has increased. [Increases in the cost to drive, heat/cool our homes]
We buy more junk from China at Wal*mart. [US trade imbalance now over $250B]
We save less, and now carry higher credit card/loan balances. [We can can get a home loan at 125% of the principal and pay interest only, not for 25 years but now for 50 years -- this is not sustainable]
