To get to the rooster. When she reached him, she fell madly in love with him! A year and a half later, the rooster suddenly became controlling and abusive, and was mean to her little chicks. So one night, the chicken waited until the rooster was asleep. She gathered her belongings and her 3 little chicks and hightailed it out of the hen house, never to look back again.
