The Stonewall Attack is not really a specific opening, more of an "opening system" with pawns on c3, d4, e3 and f4, usually with the bishop on d3. It has a solid reputation, but there is a risk of your c1 dark squared bishop being permanently entombed.

Like most things in life, the answer is "depends"
Opening choice is often based on the situation, your mood, your personality AND your chess strength. Some openings suit aggressive play, others will suit patient positional players.
At the highest levels of chess, style can make or break a player, and yet it is probably the hardest part of ones game to change.
In general, I would suggest you play the stonewall attack a few times against good opposition, and decide on that basis if the opening suits you.
If you give an indication of your style of play, we could probably recommend some openings for you.

The Stonewall is a practical good opening since it's easier to play it than to play against it.
Its drawback is that it is an antipositional opening and therefore I won't suggest to play it against very strong strategical players.

It would be a good change of pace opening that would catch opponents off guard if they are expecting a King or Queen pawn's opening.
Against skilled players it won't be as effective, since they won't fall into mistakes as readily.

It depends on your understanding of the opening and your playing attributes and style. In other words if it doesn't fit your tendencies it may not be good for your game.

No.
Do you see chess Masters and Grandmasters playing it? Nope.
That should tell you something.

No, but what I think doesn't matter. What you think does.
