our library has a movie license and we want to start showing movies. I need a fairly priced machine. and dvd capable with the ablility to connect to a projector.

Office is a seperate software item that can be added to your purchace price. Your library district probably has a volume discount for Microsoft office. As for the notebooks, Dell has government discounts for their machines.

If you need to purchace the machine yourself, and you can wait, ALL retailers will be having a price war in July. I would look at Dell, HP, Compaq, Leveno and Toshiba. If you need a system today, the Dell 6400 is a terrific bang for the buck because their clearing shelves for the 1520/1521/1720/1721 comining out later this month
