Now they just swept the Padres who are leading their division. The team BA is second in the MLB only to Detroit who has 3 guys well over 300. Pitching is still lacking, but they're consistently scoring enough runs to cover it. And JJ Putz is 16/16 for saves now I think?

Nope. They do not have what it takes to be a winner, namely, great pitching. The Angels will leave them in the dust before the season is over.

Chow!!

If they can play well against the other AL West teams, which for the last couple years have haunted them pretty badly, I think they can make a real run at the division. Weaver pitched OK even though it was against one of the weaker offensive teams in the league. If Sexson can figure out whats wrong at the plate and get hot with the bat they could really do some damage in the AL.

Not a chance, both the Angels and A's will beat them down stretch with much better pitching.

Not even the Yankees can win without pitching and frankly the Mariners are not even close to the Yankees offensively.

NO. Even though their hitting has been on fire, they are
still not considerable. I am thinking that they are having a good streak. By the all star break, they will be ready to trade Ichiro.
