= n^3 + n² - n^3 -2n -n²

= (n^3 - n^3) + (n² - n²) -2n

= -2n

If I am understanding your question properly we have:

n^2 * (n + 1) - n (n^2 + 2) - n^2 which equals

n^3 +n^2 - n^3 - 2n - n^2 which rearranged is:

n^3 - n^3 + n^2 - n^2 - 2n, thus leadig to

-2n
