He wasn't pardoned, just had his sentence reduced based on the evidence. Mitt Romney was guilty of an even worse 'crime' ! He was OVER 18 when he started to date a 15yo ! The same major malfunction that makes a grown man attracted to little girls was the same then as it is now ! If Mitt can run for Pres.,and nobody cares ,then why should Mr. Wilson rot in jail?

What else would you expect from a mormon. Joseph Smith set the example by marrying 14 yr. old Fannie Alger when he was already married to Emma Smith.

The major difference here is that Genarlow Wilson is black, the girl in question is white, and this happened in Georgia. One can be absolutely sure that had Wilson been white, he'd be attending school somewhere in the south & would never have gone to trial. That said, the Atty General & a number of state represenatives most likely still don hoods & burn crosses during their off hours.

That is not right to go to jail for. When I was 15 I was dating a 19 year old and later married him. These are not little girls when compared to a young man at 18 or 19 year old.

It was injustice, pure and simple.

It is state law, and it is obsolete and he should never have been charged, let alone sentenced as he was.

But I'm pretty sure that Mitt Romney did not, with 5 other boys, have sex with a girl and take videos of it, then have oral sex with a 15 year old girl and take video of that, too. And being drunk and high, to boot. So, your trying to equate the two falls quite short.

I think it should be a misdemeaner., which is what the law was changed to in Georgia. When I was in High school I was 15 and dated a 17 year old girl, would you call her a sex offender for dating a sophmore and she was a senior? I don't think so.

Injustice - that happened to a young fella here, it's the "collateral damage" that comes with increased penalties for sex offenders. He has my sympathy - but 17 year olds need to know how SERIOUSLY they can get in trouble with young girls, and treat them accordingly.

Hey...the pursuit of poon spoils judgement. He may have been 18 1/2 and she 15 9/10ths and she could have been BUILT and lied to him.
Asking to see a girl's ID somehow spoils it for MOST guys unless they are bartenders.
Not kool to snoop her purse while she is in the rest room either...looks like you are looting...

Even "girls" with gray hair may be wigging or dyed...What's a guy supposed to do ?

It's all a travesty and a double standard, if a fourteen year old boy has sex with a fifteen year old girl they can and will lock the boy up.

Smoking that marijuana is against the law.
Can't Bill Clinton keep his son out of trouble.

Mitt Romney is an honest and decent American. Which is why you lie about him.
