I am going crazy doing nothing but starring at the computer for 8hrs a day, plus I feel bad like he is paying me to be bored. Any suggestions.

well the best I can offer would be to take a class or take up and endeavor that would lead to being a career counselor. Having experienced the situation you have you might be valuable to a corporation as a consultant managing waste within the walls of the work force. Maybe a course on the management of personnell leading to a certificate that would credential you to become a consultant for managers or bosses like yours through their bosses or ceo's. Make something positive for yourself out of your situation as you know it is not the only one that exists. The value that you gain in yourself will produce a professional position for you somewhere that will be compensated financially and give you plenty to do. Or , you can grab a copy of huckleberry finn and a cup of hot choclate and enjoy.

stick it out and continue to get paid for nothing, until you find something that is going to interest you. if you have the potential and ability then no sense in letting it go to waist at a dead end job
