This really is ridiculous, but, here goes. My fiance's older brother is engaged to this girl who is younger than me. The brother is 30 and the girlfriend just turned 19. Well, after knowing each other for literally a month, this girl got pregnant. Now, she is such white trash and everyone kisses her *** and it makes me sick!!! I bust my *** and don't get nearly half of the recognition that she does for sitting on her unemployed butt everyday! I think a lot of it stems from the fact that my mom died suddenly when I was 16, but it makes me mad that she is treated like some princess. Does this sound stupid?!?!? Thanks for letting me vent!!!!! :o)

It is hard to tell why she is receiving such admiration from your description, but that is life. At least with humans anyway. People admire beauty in others and put beautiful people on a pedistal. That might be one reason that the other girl gets such attention. Or she might make everyone feel sorry for her.

No matter what the reason, your being jealous is useless. You are hurting you and no one else. It is not your place to judge who should get or not get attention.

Take care,
Troy

No, you should be angry. She'll be a leech off of everyone's tax dollars. She is nothing but eye candy to this brother, and I can guarantee that relationship won't last two years. We have a friend who's daughter is the same way. Unfortunately, this friend is a stepfather, and her mother let her do whatever she wanted. She was 16 dating a 28 year old. Maybe he was 30, I'm not sure, but doesn't matter. She's such an unfit mother now. She won't work much, drinks and parties a lot. She was almost 17 when she got married. Or maybe she was 17. Anyway, they lasted about a year and a half and are either divorced or getting divorced. He's hopefully fighting for custody, because she's such a bad mother. So, if this girl turns out the same way, get DSS up her hind end and take custody of that baby, okay? Good luck. Most teenage marriages don't last.

No, it doesn't sound stupid. Everybody appreciates being recognized for the good things they do every once and awhile. Maybe they're kissing *** because she's pregnant and are looking forward to a new life since that of your mother's was lost.

Just focus on being positive and maybe even see the good in this young woman. Try to find the root of your distaste for her and change it. You two are pretty much part of the same family now (you'll be that baby's aunt!) so try to just get along.

No, it doesn't sound stupid. Naturally you will feel jealous toward this person, but the best thing you can do is get over it and be as supportive as you can. It will make you look good, and when things all fall apart on them, you'll look even better.

Careful saying "thanks for letting me vent." Venting is explicitly against the Yahoo! Answers rules, and some nit-picky people who missed the point of the question might report it.

No, not stupid at all. Most people have these issues. It is hard to tell people that time will only tell, because they want an answer right away. One good thing is respect is earned and popularity is given! It takes a life time to build respect, so you probably wont see the attention you want right away because you are more dependable and people look to you for answers not drama related excitement. Good luck with everything. Hope that helps you out.

No it does not sound silly. I would ride out the storm after months with this girl the family will reconize her laziness and personality. All you have to worry about is that you are a good person and take care of yourself. People like her shine there true colors after time. I can't stand people like this also. It is so frustrating. Be patient they will figure her dumb *** out soon.

hey, i am in a similar situation, however, it is my own brother who has this girlfriend that is now the most favorite girl ever in our family. she does nothing, sits around, mooches off everyone, but she is still the high class snob favorite new daughter to our family. i feel replaced....but i know soon that she will face a hard road.

YOU AND I NEED TO KEEP WORKING HARD AND DOING WHAT WE ARE DOING. SOMEDAY WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM. JUST WATCHING FROM A DISTANCE AND ACTING LIKE WE DONT CARE IS THE BEST CAUSE THEN WE CAN WATCH THEM FALL. HAHHA. I AM IN THE SAME BOAT YOU ARE, BUT WE WILL BOTH COME OUT THE WINNERS IN THE END! AND BE GLAD WE ARENT 19 AND CARRYING A BABY! THAT MEANS MORE SHOPPING FOR US! TAKE CARE AND I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. :)

We all get jealous at one point or another, but you gotta just roll with the punches. You said your happily engaged, so be that...happy. Try to stop worrying about that girl, after all, people are only kissing her a** b/c she's pregnant...once that baby comes, no one will care about her again...they will just care about the baby.

Cool the jealousy, Lady, and do something else with that energy. She's pregnant and when you get pregnant you'l be getting just as much, or more, attention than she.

Chin up!
