DH or pitcher. If you want to field, play right field because not many balls are hit there in high school. Just work on catching. It isn't that hard.

I had the same problem , I could always hit and I didn't have a bad arm either But catching fly balls gave me fits. One day Ij just decided that I wanted to get good at it so I became a fly ball hustler.
I'd be walking past a field where a bunch of guys were shagging flies , I'd had ask them if they needed another outfielder , they'd say OK and I'd spend the next hour or so chasing down everything I though I could get to.
Get coached in the fundamentals as far as the glove work and foot work goes and then become obsessed with catching baseballs and actively seek out every opportunity you can find to spend an hour catching them.
Did I become a great player as a result of my efforts ? No , Just a competent one.

Pitching would be the answer. but why can't you catch? To catch a fly ball is easy stop thinking and let the ball hit you on a fly. Right before the ball hits you put your glove up. They make it complicated but it isn't. practice practice practice. Never give up.

Give it up dude, if you can't catch a ball with a baseball glove but you still have the hand eye coordination to hit a fastball then there is something else wrong. get out of the game.

so i played hs and i was just like u
i tried out mainly as outfield but was moved to ss cuz i could throw (and our team sucked)
anyway, now i play third and am pretty good at it.
try out for outfield and infield, maybe u could be a utility player like i was last year.
work on catching A LOT though cuz you gotta at least be able to play catch with someone

The catching ability would be able to prove in time, but for right now your best chances would be to try DH or Pitcher.

Don't giveup, just work on your defense - practice catching the ball! That's the only way to get better. Otherwise you won't make it at the highschool level.

Practice...Shag fly balls until you learn to catch the ball. Not everyone is a natural, but you can polish your skills. Don't give up.

You need all the skills you mention if you are to succeed playing high school baseball. If you cannot throw, you will be at a distinct disadvantage.
