Well Depending on the Part of GA you live in might factor into what history you learn.
My Guesses at what you might study in GA history class:

The Civil War and the Battles fought in GA.
The Burning of Atlanta
The Trail of Tears (Part of it ran threw GA)
Reconstruction in the South

Native American Tribes:

Paleo
Archaic
Woodland
Mississippian

Creeks
Seminole

I don't know where you are, but all over the US there is a program called the Gateway to College program. It is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. It is a good program for someone like you as you go to a community college and earn dual credits for high school and college. You will be around kids your own age and in similar situations. My daughter attends as she had a similar situation of being too old for the general high school population. From reading your post, it seems you know how to write very well. Good luck! Another option is to get your GED and go straight to college.

Easy to find out. Either ask someone who was an 8th grader last year, or have your parents contact the school and ask for an outline of the curriculum. The school ought to be glad to provide it to them. Good luck (A former high school principal)
