In his new book, The Assault on Reason, Al Gore has been criticizing the media(in general) for not scrutinizing the Bush administration on issues such as Iraq and torture. If Al Gore was going to run, then he would not try to alienate the media, as he would need them on his side. Also, if he entered, then the work he has done with climate change would be tainted by a political agenda. His legacy, if he was defeated, would be not as a loser turned environmentalist, but as a loser. Finally, there is no substantial Draft Al movement at present. I don't think that Al Gore will actually run.

The word on the street is that Al Gore wants to force
Al Qaeda to drive hybrids--or else! Now, that's a foreign policy I can respect.

He's already said that he isn't going to run.
Also, I don't think he'd win. I would vote for him, personally, but I think that his stance on global warming would frighten away the Republican voters.

When you say big, do you mean as big as his ego or as big as his waist line?

Are we even sure the world will exist in 18 months for him to win the Presidency?
