Its NOT social suicide! i've seen people do that in group settings, I'VE even done that on accident a few times. Just dont make a big deal out of it, wipe yourself , say excuse me and keep it moving.

Okay, this was really funny.
In fact, perhaps so funny that you could sell the premise to an ad agency who represents the company who produces that food you were literally drooling over...
I'm just sayin'...
(and about the 'social suicide': who really gives a care?! I've got a 93 year old aunt who putt-putts like a lawnmower when she walks, and, while she can feel what's happening, she realizes that there are far more important things in life than what others might think of her... so she holds her head high and walks on. Er, in your case, you might want to carry a napkin.)

It really depends on how much drool came out and who saw it. Most people do not notice small things that others do in public. If you were at dinner with a group of friends I am sure everyone would laugh it off and just talk about you later. If you were at a business function it could be a little harder to forget.

I would say it depends on if people were watching you. Even though you are in a busy area many time people are pre-occupied with their own lives. Now if you are sitting talking with someone and start to drool it may be a bad situation.

I actually find it uncomfortable eating amongst other people. If you drooled, so what? They'll probably never see you again and once they discussed their disgust they'll forget it ever happened. Why, really, should you give a damn anyway? So bloody what? Now if you was on a date then it might be a different matter. If you wasn't, then what the hell. Who cares what the others think.

My dogs do it all the time and I still think they are cute - they do it not just when they are eating, but when I eat.

Okay, seriously in the grand scheme of things, it's a little drool, people will forget, probably only you will remember.

ROFL, is it the worst thing you could've done in public? Nah. Peeing your pants would've been much worse. Chances are, people aren't going to look at you from now on and say to themselves, "Oh, there goes that drooler. Quick, make sure the drooler has a stack of napkins." Of course, there is the off-chance that everyone you see from now on will affectionately call you "Saliva Boy", in which case you could simply move to another country.

humor here, depends on where you are at. you would fit right in at the rest homes, and in the dentists office waiting for a ride home after your wisdom teeth have been pulled, and let s see, with babies teething. If you are seriously worried about this, go watch a Robin Williams film or your favorite comedian and laugh it off. ANyone who would scrutinize you for this would be a like a gal said in all seriousness to me once " I never fart, I can't fart, i dont' fart" ha ha h a

everyone were too busy eating their food to notice. wipe it out and to those who noticed, give them a "wink." geez, you're not in a social function with the elite to be too concerned about this little incident. just think that once in a while, we need some attention for ourselves and to think that you could be famous by that slight incident... hmmm.. think about it. always think of the humor in this kind of situation. this is forgivable so don't stress yourself.

If you were at a job interview, very bad. You'd probably have to do a lot better with the next question if you wanted the job.
