Well the reaction is:

Br2 + H2 [Pt] → 2HBr

You need a platinum catalyst, at 250 degrees C

I suppose since the reaction goes one way, increasing temperature would increase the rate at which HBr is formed...

Heating the mixture makes the molecules move faster, which gives them more kinetic energy. This allows many more of them to have the Activation Energy, and so many more collisions are successful. This dramtically increases the rate of the reaction.
