Because they have "nucular" weapons of mass destruction. Since there were no weapons, he's just an idiot. e

Why was he so anxious to have an event like 9/11. Money no other reason. Having this war would allow companies that had secured big military contracts in the past years to make back the money and then profit from a war. This war means nothing but money to Bush and his buddies.

1. The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for 'not finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2. Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer feeding America's addiction to cheap easily-accessible foreign OIL;
3. Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex has realized how profitable 'war' can be (even Eisenhower warned us about this). So, the politicians were bought and paid for, lobbyists were hired, and special interest groups were formed to encourage and promote more 'war'. Thus, the U.S. got involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm. A new 'war' was necessary to boost the sagging profits of companies like Lockheed-Martin; McDonnell-Douglass and Sikorsky, and to provide new revenue streams for the two 'newcomers' to government contracting, the Carlyle Group and Halliburton (both of whom have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House).
Bush was anxious to go to war in Iraq for OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. It had nothing to do with "weapons of mass destruction" or bringing democracy to that nation. -RKO- 06/11/07

Anxious? Based on what facts?
Considering the long, long buildup to even asking Congress and the US for authorization to use force, then the long time waiting for Saddam to either comply or face the consequences, it's very difficult to take the unsupported claim of President Bush being "anxious" very seriously.

He wasn't. If you want to learn the truth you will have to do some research, but he used war as a last resort. Sadaam ignored UN sanctions for years, and even Bush gave him many chances to Disarm. Instead Sadaam ignored the will of the international community and we had to use war as a last resort.
And lest you forget, wars are authorized by congress, a congress which you probably voted for. So you should be asking yourself, why am I so anxious to declare war?

There was evidence of illegal weapons and cooperation with terrorist cells. When Iraq wouldn't comply, he sought help. When no help would come, he handled the job.
The media reports were that no nuclear weapons were found. That is like saying wal-mart doesn't have any lego models. That may be true, but all of the parts and the instructions on how to put them together can be found. We found the plans, we found warheads capable of carrying a nuclear material, and we found yellowcake uranium.
Oh, and if it was for the oil as so many people claim, why would we be purchasing so much foreign oil at such high prices?

Rove wanted to use Iraq as a political weapon against the Democratic party.
Bush was opposed to such things in 1999, but acted on bad advice, and it has "backfired" so to speak.
But, despite all the talk that "Bush wants victory" it was never his idea, only Rove's and Cheney's.

Ask him and he will tell you that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and that he was a real threat to the United States of America. None of which were true by the way.
