NL team sure held their own last year...
But as far as the regular season goes, we all know the outcome. NL teams cheap out on players, are slow in free agency, get creamed in the All Star game, and suffer through ridicule the whole season. Part of the supposed dominance that people confuse the AL for having is the offense. If neither league had the DH rule (let's see how valuable you are now Ortiz), the runs per game would be very close. The only thing that sets the AL apart is talent. The farm systems, in general, are outlandishly better than those in the NL. Sure, the Dodgers, Marlins, D-Backs, and Phillies are success stories, but teams like the Cardinals, Rockies, Pirates, Reds, and Nationals are embarrassments.

ok we could basically think of approximately that lower back. i'm an NL fan and that i nonetheless no that the NL has any such great form of communities that couldnt beat my grandma. the AL had sturdy communities or maybe the ROYALS had a over 500. checklist in interleague play. THE NL will consistently be the extra severe league because of the fact we r the NL. Wait some years whilst howard, wright, and reyes are the main well known stars. yet for now u gotta say that the AL remains the DOMINATOR!

The NL over the last 5 years has been quite awful, the AL is stacked of good teams such as the indians, A's. white sox, and twins, and great teams like the tigers, angels, red sox and yankees, the nl got lucky last year winning the WS cause they had 83 wins during the regualr season, 3 less then the red sox did last year who finished wayyy out of the playoffs, and as for the moron who said "lets see how valuable ortiz is now", david ortiz is the best DH in the game and when it is over he may be the best of all time, that seems pretty valuable to me, also in the 04 WS who through across the diamonds and hosed out that moron suppan, ohh yea mr. ortiz

A.L. will most likely always be better at interleague play because it is a stronger league and there are tons of games. That has nothing to do with the World Series though because a team can get hot and take care of business in the post-season. With only four wins against an A.L. team in the post season to win the World Series any N.L. team that makes the post season has a chance to win the whole thing.

Maybe the Mets or Dodgers. However, I wish the inter-league play would stop!! The draws are not even or fair to begin with.
Plus, I would rather see more American League games with the designated hitter than watch boring NL lineups with the pitcher batting. The "race" needs to be among teams in the same league.
Chow!!

If all the teams do not play all the other teams you cannot have a true 100% guage of exactally who is better. Unless you pitted the best records against the best records and down the line you really do not get a perfect solution.
And this is baseball...it takes more than a few week series to weed out the best. Thats why they play 162 games

AL... It has more money, so better players by far. You can't expect Pittsburgh to beat New York dollar for dollar.
