Using curse words is telling other people you don't have much of a vocabulary. I think we all curse at one time or another. If we hurt our finger, if someone pulls in front of us when we are driving, if we are shocked by what we see. I think the bad words just pop out in these instances, but in conversation, even in the heat of an argument, cursing shows that you have very little discipline with your emotions, like a child. It shows a lack of maturity in the work place. Curse words promote negativity, and I think we already have enough of that in the world today.

Depends on which curse words under which circumstances. Some are just wrong because they have social meanings that are not acceptable in public contexts. Some are wrong because they are associated with things that have traditionally thought of as bad, and now the context of the usage of the words refers to the bad feelings associated with the traditional meanings. Most are wrong simply because they do just what they are: they curse people. Cursing people is wrong, because you are essentially wishing something bad to happen to someone. More times than not, it is a combination of all of the above, and it comes down to this: they are wrong because society, as a whole, has decided they are symbols of wrong.

I personally don't believe that it is. I swear A LOT compared to other women, and I don't have any intention of stopping. It is a harmless stress reliever for me.
However, there is a politeness and professionalism issue when other people are within earshot. You should not swear at work, and you should not swear out in the general public, or around people you know are offended by swearing, because it is rude. Some people react strongly to those words.
That said, not swearing is part of some ethical codes, and I respect that. Some people believe that swearing defiles one's mouth and offends God, while some people simply hate harsh language. It's not an issue of absolute right or absolute wrong.

It depends on who you are talking to. Some people think that curse words are morally and socially unacceptable, but others think that they are just fine. I personally think that media can influence whether or not people think that curses are right or wrong. When you see someone on Tv or the radio swearing every five seconds, you could possibly think its okay to do. It's not necessarily right or wrong it just depends on what you or the people around you think.

Very good question.. I get you though, because I use them as well, Well not all the time; only when I am playing, I say it jokingly, or when I am annoyed.. But it just dosen't sound ediquette, for a person to say it.. People see you as the bad person if you say those words, and somehow it come's out like you have no respect or your parents did not raise you well. I hope this helps you understand.. Have a great day...

It is wrong for two reasons. One is because it's purpose is to offend someone. The other is due to the way it's linguistically structured, that tends to ambiguity, leaving for lots of alternative interpretations, that can be construed of being even more offensive than the intended offensiveness of the curse.
