One way to reinstall the software for your sound card is to contact tech support of the computer manufacturer. Give them the make and model # along with the serial #
You may need to know if your PC is a home PC or an Office PC. The technichan can give you access to a website to download your sound card software.

Well if it was possible to actually Delete a speaker (being physical object) that'd be amazing.

I think you are talking about the little speaker that sits down in the taskbar.

Click start, settings, control panel, then go to multimedia and at the bottom there is a little box you can check to display the little speaker.

If the hardware is plug-and-play compatible, then it should be detected by Windows if you reboot. You can also go to Control Panel / System / Hardware Manager and execute a search for new hardware.
Another option is to look for a CD that came with the hardware and see if there's an installation utility on it.

volume
click start
control panel
sounds and audio devices
volume
put check beside -- put volume control in task bar
make sure muted has not got a check mark beside it
it will be on the blue bar (task bar)
just click new icon 2 times
you can then adjust volume as needed

just re install the sound driver, then boot it up, and the sound should come on
