Was your husband super excited or just blaze about it.

Mine is just like whatever......he doesn't seem very excited, but he keeps reassuring me he does, in fact, want this.

Is that just the way men are? Thanks :)

Mine wasn't. But once the baby started moving and he could feel it he was getting better. But the time he really could get into it was when the baby came out. They just don't get to enjoy it the same cause the can't feel the same things.

Generally, in my opinion, it tends to be the women who are more excited and proactive about starting a family. Men have their own ways to support it and as long as he says he is for it, then go for it. Men and women just express their feelings and thought differently.

well- were you the one that wanted the baby or both? seems like ur the one that wanted the baby & not him and that may be why he's not so excited about it. Just give him time. Whne he sees ur belly starting to grow he'll be excited to know if it's a gurl or boy, what he/she will look like etc. give him time it;s a guy thing!

Mine couldn't get too excited--we had been trying for 18 months after a miscarriage. It was terrible. We both agreed to just have sex because we wanted to, not because we only wanted to have kids.

We started to volunteer at a pet adoption center, and we both really became less obsessed with kids and more obsessed with life in general. Once we just had fun having sex and didn't just focus on having sex to create babies, we got pregnant!

A lot of men are like that, they are so logical and reasonable, they are a lot different when they see the end product. Just try not to make him feel like he is just a baby making machine, try to keep the romance.

men arent too good at showing emotions! Plus, when TTC it almost becomes a chore to have sex. Try to keep things exciting so you don't get bored.

Good Luck!

The possibility of pregnancy, a child and all that entails can be extremely daunting.

Pregnancy has no sense of reality for guys either, they don't go through anything until the baby is born, therefore I'd assume they didn't feel like it was "real."

For women, it's real...right away!

My husband was the same way. It took a lot of bugging on my part to even get him to want to try. He agreed to try for one month, if it didn't work, then I had to go back on birth control. Luckily, I got pregnant within 2 weeks. His attitude changed once our daughter was here. He was soo happy and still is and thinks he's "Super Man" for getting me pregnant so fast.
