Peppermint tea is great for settelingthe digestive system, and it helps if you have morning sicknss too! Increase your fiber intake, it will help to regulate your digestion better. Avoid fatty, fried foods, they will cause cramping and diareah, which is very uncomfortable while pregnant. IBS sucks, but it can be managed throught diet.

Having it won't effect the baby, it's really more of a nuisance to you. Stress is a big problem, so work on some relaxation techniques. Chiropractic may also help.
I found that when I was pregnant, my IBS wasn't as bad as usual. Seeing a dietician or nutritionist should also be helpful. Also keep a food journal to see if there's anything you should stay away from.
Good luck!

I have IBS as well, I was diagonosed 2 years ago, I am 13 weeks and 1 day pregnant, I went to see my gastrointerologist Dr., all you can do is take Fibercon and eat LOTS of fruits and vegies with fiber. Such as apples and nuts.

Good luck

I wouldnt worry about it too much. Iam going for tests tomorrow for IBS and im also nervous. I know they told me it would not affect the pregnancy or the child.
Good luck with the baby though:)

I would look for a cook book that substitutes one ingredient that for sure will upset your stomach for another that won't. I have a cook book called good foods for bad stomachs. It really helps out and makes me feel better.
