If you mean:
x² - 7x + 10 = 0
You could the Quadratic Formula where a=1, b= -7, and c=10,

or you could factor... it factors easily
The factors look like (x+a)(x+b)

Try to think of factors of 10 (and there aren't too many of them--only two sets) that when multiplied together you get 10, and when added together you get -7.

Hint: they have to be the same sign, or you'd bet -10.

Hint: since they have to be the same sign, and because the coefficient of the middle term is negative, they both have to be negative.

If you mean x^(-7x+10) = 0, then x=0 and you have 0^(0+10) = 0

Assume equation is:-
x² - 7x + 10 = 0
(x - 5).(x - 2) = 0
x = 2, x = 5

Seems to me x^-7x+10=0 is a quadratic equation.
x^-7x+10=0
By factorization method
x^-5x -2x+10=0
(x^-5x)-(2x10)=0
x(x-5)-2(x-5)=0
(x-2)(x-5)=0
Either x-2 = 0 or x-5 =0
Thus x=2 or 5

Error in your writing, you missed the power 2 ?

x^2-7x+10 = 0

X^2-2x-5x+10 = 0

x(x-2) -5 (x - 2) = 0

(x-5)(x-2) = 0

Therefore x = 5 or 2

x^2-7x+10=0
(x-2)(x-5)=0
x=2 OR x=5

I am going to assume you meant

x^2 - 7x +10 = 0

Factor it to get
(x-5)(x-2) = 0

Then split this into two equations:

x-5 = 0
x = 5

and
x-2 = 0
x = 2

So you have two solutions: x =5 or x = 2

Alternatively, you could use the quadratic formula, but this seems easier to me for this particular problem.

x^2 - 7x + 10 = 0

x^2 - 5x - 2x + 10 = 0

x(x - 5) - 2(x - 5) = 0

(x - 2)(x - 5) = 0

Therefore, x = 2 or x = 5.

What is "x" raised to the power of? If it's squared its:
(x-2)(X-5)

I assume you mean x^2 in that equation.

(x-2)(x-5)=0

Therefore, x=2 or 5
