Joe Morgan mentioned the unique 30ft. at high centerfield wall at RFK "that had only been conquered by one player in a final blaze of glory." But he didn't mention who or when.

Just a guess, but probably Frank Howard. Guy was huge.

Frank Howard has hit homers all over that yard. Look in the stands and you'll see the commemorative seats marking where his balls landed. He did more than one over that center field fence.

Bear in mind that Joe Morgan, while an amazing baseball player, isn't the most knowledgeable announcer. Howard did it more than once.

It was the last home run hit in RFK (until they reopened the park recently.)
