the movie with Johnny Depp and stuff and hes like all of a sudden sick and his skin is cracked, i understand by the plot that hes going to die but i mean dang what the heck happened to him!?

I think he got syphilis...from what i can remember, been awhile since i saw that movie...

John Wilmot died from syphillis and liver failure. End stage syphillis effects the skin and lesions appear and bleed. Usually a persons nose will rot off towards the end and that is why the bandage was over his face.
