Real emo music from the 80s?

does anyone know the REAL emo bands of the 80s. i'm not talking about bands you label emo like mcr or afi, but the original emo bands. could anyone give me a few names of the bands? thanks!

While the term "emo" is a current buzzword, I do understand what you are saying.

#5. Eurythmics ( I know people will say they are more techno, but, come on, Annie Lennox's singing, her ethereal voice and lyrics definitely make her band the pioneer of "emo")

the only emo bands i understand are Mineral, Texas is the reason, include, Moss Icon, Christie front stress, Penfold, Rites of spring, Crash of Rhinos, Cap'n Jazz, Braid, Indian summer time, nevertheless life, Chamberlain, Promise Ring, Gloria record, Jets to Brazil, Jawbreaker, The one 0 one, Dag Nasty, One final wish and so on...
