What does being popular have to do with it???! No, I don't think so, but they should only wear a little bit. A touch of lipgloss and maybe some eyeshadow, but leave it at that. Do NOT wear foundation, it'll make you look like a tart. Good luck! :)

Yes 11 is a bit too young to start wearing make up. I guess you could wear some lip gloss and use nail polish.
Don't rush things at 11 you should be having fun and not caring what the popular kids are doing.
I don't want to be rude but it reminds me of the little kid beauty pageants where you have some 10 year old who looks like they are 40+ with all that make up. Plus kids in make-up looks kind of creepy.

Not too young for lipgloss but she shouldnt be trying to look pretty there is no reason 11 hello enjoy being able to play outside and not have to worry about beauty it will all come soon enough! What does popularity have to do with it...if all the popular girls are wearing make-up it doesnt mean she has too!

My guess is that this 11 year old probably has a beautiful natural look, and that makeup would mask this. She probably has a great glow, with NO makeup. I think you should enjoy this while you can, because as you age you might NEED to wear some, to enhance your look or cover flaws... LOL..and then it won't seem like such fun or as cool anymore.. more of a necessary pain!
Your popularity comes from how you act, and your personality, not if you wear makeup or not.. this tells me you must be a cool person already!

an 11 year old is way too young to be wearing makeup. i am 19 and still do not wear makeup because i feel like i am pretty enough already, and i don't need help from any stupid makeup product. if you are already popular, then why do you need makeup ?

in a perfect world, telling an 11 y/o girl not to worry about her looks would actually work. in today's society, that is hardly an option (although it should be!) clear gloss is a good way to go. the parents can hardly find anything wrong with that and the 11 y/o will still feel like shes getting what she wants. at the same time, its a natural look that will not make the girl look too old for her age.

Being popular has nothing to do with wearing makeup. I think that lipgloss is okay - but would wait to wear more until you were older. Like 13 or 14.

If it's okay with your mom, dad and the school rules, you can wear a bit of makeup, like nail polish, some flavoured gloss and light mascara. That should be enough for someone who is 11 years old: you don't need to pile it on.

At that age, she would only look like a tramp. Just get her some Bonnie Bell lipgloss...it looks good and tastes great!

well it sort of seems like you think that the reason you can wear makeup is because your popular, or atleast you think you are. it isnt good for someone who is 11 years old to think that they can just pack a million pounds of makeup on their face, and think that everyone is staring at them because it looks good. truth is, if they are staring at it, its because your 11 and you have a million pounds of makeup on your face. so no, i dont think its good for 11 year olds to wear makeup.
