Different bottled waters do have a slight flavour difference, and it's geared to appeal to people in different ways. Some people can't tell the difference, and therefore buy the cheapest waters (and fair play to them), others can taste a distinct difference and will only buy their favourites. Some have a higher mineral content, some have certain filtration techniques that taint the taste. Tap water also differs area to area, sometimes even street to street. Your wife is very discerning, and you should consider that an asset and a huge compliment.

I agree it does, for a few days we had to use different brands from our normal and we both agreed that Evian tastes rather metallic and horrid, Highland Spring tastes like tap water and we are very pleased that we are back to Volvic which has a good sweet taste that is still refreshing.

I love Dasani. I think water that has been through the reverse osmosis procedure has a different taste than others. I work for a living and I enjoy Dasani, so I spend the little extra it takes to buy it. :) I only drink Dasani water and Vitamin Water.

:)

They all taste slightly different, but you've got to drink a lot of water before you can tell which is which.

... an amusing little water, Camberwell I'd say with just a hint of New Cross

They will since they come from different sources and are either filtered or not, and not all filtered ones are filtered using the same process. A discriminatory tongue could taste the difference.

If you're not going to accept the answers, then stop asking questions.

I can tell which I do and don't like, so yeah I think there is a difference in the taste. Probably the differing ammounts of which mineals they seep through.

I notice a difference in how thick they seem to be. Volvic seems to go down more easily than Evian, say. Maybe there are higher mineral contents that make some heavier than others.

They most certainly do, just like tap water tastes different in different parts of the country.
