It depends on the clothing she's wearing. If she's in something that is supposed to be a female version of a suit, it's very nice. Also, there are plenty of restaurants that have women in neckties as part of the uniform (here we have an upscale restaurant where ALL the servers are in black pants, white shirt, apron, and necktie). In a nightclub, it doesn't matter anyway. I'd rather see a woman in a necktie than looking as if she just walked in off the street and is trying to score a trick.

Ties to me are masculine items. Women should stay away from them completely. They are simply not feminine.
