I believe that there is a possibility that "Bigfoot" is real. What are your views\explanations?

Personally, I think that they are surviving Gigantopithecus blackii, an ancient ape that stood 10 feet tall. Perhaps they survived extinction and are now living on society's outskirts.

For instance, take the Okapi, it was once thought to be on the same basis as Bigfoot, and now they can be seen in zoos!

I do believe that bigfoot might be real.
One because there are many things we haven't discovered yet or documented.
Two if big foot really is alive somewhere it must be hiding out of its own will it might've even shaved all of its hair off so it could fit in this society.

The problem with Bigfoot is that most people that claim they saw it aren't scientists or zoologists they are normal everyday people that either want to make themselves known to make a quick buck or that nobody believes. Its the same thing as the loch ness.
Personally I do believe that bigfoot existed but there are only a few left. In a couple of years they might become extinct maybe they already are.

One thing that is certain though is that the existence of creatures like bigfoot and the loch ness will be continued to be disputed for alot more years to come

I think there is an extremely strong possibility for bigfoot. If it is Gigantopithecus, than Gigantopithecus is far more like a human than most believe which is entirely possible. When it was first found, they wanted to call it Giganthropus, if memory serves. That means giant man. I think its resemblance to bigfoot and Gigantopithecus giganteous are based almost entirely on size and I am not convinced. Gigantopithecus was a very large ape that lived in Southeast Asia and may have migrated to North America. Most experts outside of bigfoot do not believe it was bipedal. I tend to think that the Sangiran H. erectus and H. erectus meganthropus which also lived in Southeast Asia may be more likely ancestors because they look like bigfoot, are bipedal, and more intelligent. I think bigfoot has to be very intelligent to stay hidden. Gigantopithecus demonstrated that a niche for a very large hominoid is possible. I suspect that some other large hominoid evolved from something a little closer to us.

It is strange; in the "good old days" when newspapers published new, big foot, the abominable snowman, whooping cranes and the like were frequently in the news. Now, with 5 groups of liberals controlling the media around the world, I never hear of anything that is not political
I definitely believe in Bigfoot; there are so many documented cases of strange happenings, shadowy figures moving through the forest, things being moved around by Bigfoot that can only be moved by heavy equipment, etc.
Besides, the People (the ones most usually refered to as "Indians" or "AmInds") had so many legends regarding Bigfoot. So far, their accounts have proved more accurate than the "experts" accounts.

I think it is a very primitive form of erectus that was miscategorized as being more modern than they actually were. If you look at some of the Sangiran fossils, some are enormous, some are very primitive if you consider very powerful jaw muscles as a negative indicator of technology. One group of them likely became adapted to live in areas that humans shun. Those areas are swampy terrain and very steep inaccessible mountains. They became shy because only the shyest were able to escape the ancestors of humans who were the baddest most dangerous animal on the planet.
