Would you rather be blind or deaf?

Question

I most certainly would rather be deaf, because not being able to see would drive me crazy, and I wouldn't know what is happening.
I could always learn how to read lips if I'm deaf.
Sorry if this question offends anybody.

I would rather be deaf because, even thought I couldn't hear music, I could still watch tv and movies with subtitles and I could still drive.

Deaf, because everything is hard when you are blind. Deaf people can do a lot more without help from others. Things like driving or walking across the street. Or seeing beautiful women or a sunset or a football game. I could go on and on. Vision is life's most precious gift. I thank God every day for it.

My mother was deaf and wore a Hearing aid. She used to say she would rather be blind than deaf - she said blind people always got sympathy and you could see if they were blind - whereas a deaf person you cannot tell - and then when they find out - they start to shout or ignore you or treat you like an imbecile - I have seen this first hand and she was right.

I would much rather be blind b/c then you could "see" people they really are instead of just "seeing" the outside of a person. They make look sweet but looks , of course are deceiveing. So yeah Id rather be blind than not being able to hear what others including myself could say. Less prejudice- being blind. --- Toodles, allison
if u can hear you would know what was happening, and sometimes I wish I didnt see some of the things Ive seen--- BLIND ---all the way! :0)

Deaf, it is really hard to get around if you are blind but most deaf people can lead pretty normal lives.

I have to go with deaf as well. I love to take pictures, I'm really into photography, I don't think I could go without being able to see. And you can still communicate with sign language.

Well, since I'm basically both.. I would choose deaf just because i don't listen to anyone in the first place and covering my eyes with sunglasses would be horrible. Haha.

yea me too, deaf because maybe they can write it on a paper and i can see what people are saying. But blind I would go crazy hearing people and not seeing them. No way
