Your local pet stores should carry a product called "Nature's Miracle." It will take the smell out of anything. It's enzymes that are fabric safe. This will get rid of the odor. I've used it for years, and really, really, works!

Most people treat the surface stain, but the problem, of course, is that the urine has soaked into the mattress and stays there.
I make a weak solution of household cleaner and water or a solution of vinegar and water and pour it directly onto the spot where the urine is. Then I take a thick towel and place it over the wet spot and stand on it. If the towel becomes soaked, I change towels and keeping standing on the spot until I can't get anymore wetness out of the mattress. Not only is the cleaning solution wicked up, but so is the urine. I then let the mattress dry a couple of days until it is perfectly dry before making the bed. It's best to do this as soon as you discover the stain, but this also works if the stain is dry. This method will leave your mattress fresh smelling and clean.

I'm not certain about how to get it out but a suggestion for the future would be to buy one of the plastic sheets that you put on the bed before putting on the sheets (they make them for all size beds) and then put your regular mattress pad over that and then make up the bed with the sheets/blankets. The regular mattress pad will make the bed comfy and keep your guests from waking up every time they roll over and the plastic crunches and the plastic liner layer will keep any pee or pet stains or spilled drinks or whatever from soaking into the mattress. Mattress pads can easily be washed and, if need be, replaced at a much lower cost than buying a whole new mattress!
I think some mattress pads these days even come with the bottom of the pad being treated to be impervious to liquids.

Spray with white vinegar and a pet urine odor remover and let dry. You may have to do this more than once. Don't soak it, just spray lightly (I have two cats who hate my roommate).
Then go to JC Penneys and get a plastic zipped mattress cover, not the cotton ones that just cover the top or a mattress pad. They won't repel liquids, just soak them up a little.
If it is your bed.... and she is a baby, put down a garbage bag and towel before you change her!

Clean it off and use it. Children pee often and there are other "substances" on that mattress too. Dirt, oil, secreations. Clean the surface with a mild detergent, let it dry and bingo its saved. If you want spray some febreeze on it. I have a terminally ill daughter who has "accidents" so I put a cloth mattress cover between the fitted sheet and mattress no more worries.

Woolite makes a spray, it is for pet stains, but also for urine. Get a bottle and follow the instructions. It works. Get a plastic cover for your mattress for when she uses your bed.

You can't. The pee stain and smell never comes out. You can try Fabreeze but you and I both know it will still be there right.
