The people in the room next to me were smoking crack (could smell the smoke through the wall). At 3:00 in the morning the cops came, busted down the door and dragged five people out kicking and screaming. Oh, yeah, this is why two of my kids slept next to me and my husband. It was awesome. (not)

We were in Minocqua, WI on a fall weekend. We stayed at a chain hotel. The room was ok, the a little small. We got to the hotel later in the evening, checked in and went to get something to eat. After returning from supper we were tired so we retired for the evening. About midnite we were awakened to the sound of motorcycles in the parking. Unbeknownst to us there was a big motorcycle rally in town. Apparently our hotel was occupied by mostly bikers. I went to speak with the kid behind the front desk about the noise. There wasn't anything he could do about it. So we had a bit of a rough night. The hotel refunded our money the next morning when we checked out. The bikers were well behaved. It was just that the sound of 65 Harleys coming into a parking lot at the same time makes a little noise.

somebody had gone through my belongings (they tracked him from the room card) --not just my belongings but other ppls too. And they did it very well--you couldn't even tell anything was moved. They stole whatever money that was hidden and left everything in it's exact place in the luggage. They only got like 10 dollars from me because I wouldn't keep it in the luggage.....and at the same hotel there was a fire and the alarm (by voice) woke us up in the middle of the night....'do not take the elevator--take the stairs--there is a fire in the building--do not take the elevator--take the stairs-' It kept repeating over and over and we were half asleep and we turned towards the elevator and heard once again DO NOT TAKE THE ELEVATOR...and were like...oh yeah...TAKE THE STAIRS
I think we were on the fifth floor. Turns out the fire was IN the elevator.
This was in high school -- we were in Cleveland for some contest. I don't remember the name of the hotel.

In California a couple of years ago I got a severe sunburn while camping at the MotoGP race. When we went to the hotel on Sunday all I wanted was a shower (after three days without one). So I got in the shower and the water was like a fire hose even on the lowest setting...it was like a pressure washer. Anyway the top 1/2 inch of my severely burned right ear came off and I was then taking a nice bloody shower. Then the same thing almost happened to my daughter's sunburned shoulder. My son took his "bath" in the hotel pool.

I was about 20 or 22. I had many freinds over, we were blasting music, and I drank much alcohol very quickly. I was soon so drunk that people were just coming in and out as they pleased. I must have been very rude because 3 people started punching me in the face. I yelled "I'm being assaulted!" They left, but I got pissed because people were still running in and out. Finally I closed the door and said to everyone "No one else is coming in!" About that time there was a loud knock at the door. I yelled "Who ever that is, I'm coming out there and kicking your ***!" Then I heard "Sheriffs department" The people inside started laughing and I opened the door. The hotel manager was there and told everyone to leave. Then it took much convincing from both the cops and me to let me stay. They left and said "We better not be coming back!" I woke up 5 or 6 hours later. There was broken glass all over the place, I was even sleeping on it along with my opened wallet and Driver License out. The room had Beer and Vodka bottles all over the place and was thoroughly thrashed.

Okay...here's my tale of woe. I was staying at the George V which is a Four Seasons hotel in Paris. You'd think it would be great, right? NON.
First of all, you aren't allowed to wait in the lounge at all. They hustle you right out of there (no seats) and either to the bar, restaurant or your room. People with ear pieces everywhere that look like secret service.
Anyway, we had a suite that we were paying a fortune for and some middle eastern noble had rented all the other suites on the floor. His multitude of wives and countless children used the hallway as a playground at ALL HOURS of the night. Screaming, running children and because this guy was renting all but one suite, nobody said anything. In fact, the hotel had posted security at every one of his doors and they wouldn't do a damn thing about all the noise. We didn't get any sleep for 2 nights and couldn't get the hotel to move us to another floor for anything. The George V sucks beyond belief.

Didn't actually stay. Went to Sacramento with my daughter for the weekend.
We had made reservations for one night while going to the state fair. We checked in and went to our room. It was filthy and not cleaned yet, so we went back to the front desk and asked them to have it cleaned while we went to the fair.
We came back at 10:00 at night, noticed two police cars in the parking lot with three guys in handcuffs, and went upstairs and walked into the room - the door was wide open. There was a cigarrette in the toilet. Then we noticed that one of the two beds was gone! When we came out, some little kids were laughing and saying, "where's your bed? We have it!".
So, we went back down to the desk, got our money back and drove the 4 hours back home.

Well I HATE Motel 6, because all of the non-smoking rooms reak of smoke. They even have ashtrays in there that say DO NOT SMOKE! How lame is that?! Also, one time I stayed at some motel that had this disgusting stuff that looked like blood on the walls!

My husband who was my fiance at the time and I decided to stop at a motel for a little "Afternoon delight" - (I still lived at home!) anyway - the room was AWFUL!! There was a bullet hole in the wall & blood stains on the carpet! Well the need to "take care of business" overrode the gross out factor - but when he fell asleep after & I was channel surfing - what came on TV but Pyscho! I woke him up in a hurry & we left! UGH!

Arrived in the early hours of the morning. Got the key from reception and went behind the office where the motel was.
Two gang members were flicking their knives at each other in front of our door. When we opened to enter the place, they followed us inside!!! We asked them to leave as we were tired and they did. Next morning, we were up early, they were still there. We chatted with them and became quite good friends!!!!
