I'm just confused about this...how many weeks are one month, two months, three months, and so on? I never figured it out because a lot of sites are saying different weeks for each month.

it is usually best to go by weeks. but one month is 28 days, like the standard menstrual cycle. that is why they consider a full term pregnancy 10 months, it is 40 weeks.

According to "What to Expect When You are Expecting," which has become one of my favorite pregnancy books breaks it down as:
First Month: 1 to 4 weeks
Second Month: 5 to 8 weeks
Third Month: 9 to 13 weeks
Fourth Month: 14 to 17 weeks
Fifth Month: 18 to 22 weeks
Sixth Month: 23 to 27 weeks
Seventh Month: 28 to 31 weeks
Eighth Month: 32 to 35 weeks
Ninth Month: 36 to 40 weeks

It is confusing, so I usually just answer people in weeks!

I was confused when I had my last baby too. I always thought one month, two month etc but the doctors count weeks all the way to 40 and if you convert those weeks to months then you are actually pregnant for 9 1/2 months

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and that has always confused me too! I don't know whether to say 7 (7 months COMPLETE) or 8 (going into my 8th). That's why I just kept on saying how many weeks I am when someone asks. Makes it alot easier since we're going by 40 weeks.

One pregnancy month is 4 weeks/28 days long. That is why there are 10 pregnancy months. There are 4 1/2 weeks in a calendar month so that may be why there is a difference.

No one can tell you for sure. We count 4 weeks in a month but that's incorrect because there are 30-31 days per month. All these sites are giving you general outlines. I'm due August 30th so I count my months on the 30th of every month.

Well, 4 weeks equals one month but you have to remember that some months contain 5 weeks (June and December) so the count would be off there. Typically in pg, it is counted in weeks...40 weeks equals a full term pg, which of course is more than the 9 months that everyone refers to.
