Stopping a murderer only causes more murders if the person is let back out on the street. That is not what Dems are asking for at all. You are completely making up statistics and misrepresenting their side of the argument. Why? Likely because you don't know what you are talking about.

Here is a question for you: if capital punishment causes less murder, then how come the vast majority of countries that have eliminated capital punishment have smaller murder rates than we do? Hmm...

It doesn;t deal with the fact that those of us who don;t have the death penalty still enjoy a lower crime rate than thos ehwo do...and even better then those who do, and then try and do away with it. I am not a democrat, but I am against the death penalty. Life in prison will protect society and at the same time prevent the murder of possibly innocent people (do you know how many death row inmates have been acquitted due to the discovery of new evidence).
