for the good of our country? Do you think he understands that he has a sworn duty to uphold a government for the people, by the people and of the people? I am really confused as to what is going on in our beloved USA. Please explain your answer for my own sanity and those who are similarly situated as myself. Thank you.

He is very aware of what the American people want. He's just to worried about his legacy to give a damn about it.

Something I find to be extremely sad about American elections ... it not matter who gets elected, a large number of people on the losing side will hate the winners with a vengence, act like the election must have been rigged, claim that everything the elected leader does is against the will of the people.

Do you remember when Bill Clinton was President? The same thing was going on. A huge volume of people had nothing good to say about him. They spoke as if they could not understand how everything he was doing was contrary to what they thought the nation wanted.

Both Bill Clinton and George Bush have something in common. They were both elected to a second term in office, which would seem to contradict the notion that what they doing is contrary to will of majority of the people. One was Democrat, other Republican, which would seem to contradict the notion that the elections were rigged.

What we honestly think is irrelevant unless you are man or woman enough to accept our opinions as valid feelings. Unless you can do that, there's no point in telling you that of course Bush is aware of what the American People want him to do. There's no point in telling you that he has the best interests of the country at heart, and he better than most understands the need to win this war on terror...

Because, of course, if you're a partisian hack, you've actually just asked a question for which you cannot accept anything but a bumper-sticker answer that fits your narrow minded world view...

He most likely knows his duty far more than the members of congress do. He also has a sworn duty to defend the people of this Country from Foriegn aggression and if you look the economy is operating on all cylinders. He has done his job as president and did it better than the person who occupied the oval office before him.

Running the government does not mean doing what the people, even the majority of people, want him to do. It means running the government which should be responsive to the people through their elected leadership in Congress. Contrary to your assertion of "for the people, by the people, and of the people, he has sworn to "uphold and defend the Constitution." It is through Congress that he is forced to do what the people want. Talk to your Congressmen.

If the 9/11 attacks, the worst of American disaster, can't get Bush to lift his bottom from the seat where he read "My Pet Goat" or act to get the children around him to safety, think he is ever aware of what really goes on around him? He can only parrot those incompetents he elected to top offices, or those he claims to be his advisors. Bush shines best as a man in denial!

Unfortunately for America, Bush has in his mind that he, and only he, is the only one that knows what is good for us. To him it does not matter that less than 30% of the country supports him anymore. He is over in Albania somewhere and they love him, and he is foolish enough to think that will make us at home approve of him,.

He is , without a doubt the worst president this country has ever seen. Even Nixon eventually listened to the will of the people. But Bush goes on and on in his daze.. just defying everything the people want or beleive in, he is willfully murdering our young people in a war he made up in his mind and getting away with it.

I can only hope, one day, some way he will be made to pay for it. I wish it were impeachment but our congress seem to be too afraid to do that... too many skeletons in too many closets. But God will be his judge one day, and I reckon God will not be impressed by his down home smirk and his money. You will pay, Bush, you will!

We are a republic. Republicans believe the elected elite know better than the mass public. Bush is the decision maker who knows what is good for all of us.

Bush isn't aware that his shoes are untied. His handlers dangle him on a string, and the 'puppet' does whatever he's told to do. The "people" be damned....the Bilderberg Conference selected Bush and Cheney so that the concept of a new world order could begin to become a reality. -RKO- 06/11/07

George Bush? Aware? Same sentence?

Yes for the most part he does. He has shown this by his attention and funding to NCLB, and record spending in all social services, he has stood up to terrorism and does what is right for this country. Now he and I do split on the amnesty bill. I'm against it. But I'm working that via the angle of my representatives. A vote for Amnesty will get them a ticket to the end of their political career.
