Has any one heard of Patty Day?

My high school was half Mex and the rest was white on Patty day the Mex would try and beat up the whites nothing was ever done about it,We learned how to stick together and fight Now that I think about it can we have a Dem/lib day It would be so much fun!

I thought Patty Day was for the Irish (St. Patrick).
In previous generations they were the ones beaten.
