Hi!
I'm totally shocked by this recent development in the hunt for the coach.Just when things seemed like settling down,we have ended up in double trouble.And the sole person behind this is Graham Ford(well the Bcci could be blamed for it's 1-yr offer).It's true that his wife has cancer and his kid is unwell,but why come and doa presentation in the first place?He could-ve just declined the offer in the initial stages.So,what do you think?

I think you're all missing the point that the BCCI's offer was not ideal. He would have had no choice of assistants and would have had no input to overall cricket policy. The BCCI wanted him to keep the same two assistants as were there for the world cup and just to coach the team. Not surprising he rejected the post really.
I think the other reasons you give may have played some role, but would not have stopped him taking the job if the offer had been satisfactory.
Blame the BCCI for Indian cricket looking stupid today, don't blame Graham Ford.

Yes, The BCCI is more idiotic than him, telling the media that Graham Ford is officially the Coach of India. Shouldn't they have atleast asked him after the interview if he really wants the job. Some people change their minds.

I totally agree with you. If he has any problem in taking up the coaching assignment of Indian Team, he should have informed BCCI when he was asked to come for a demonstration and he should not have come for the presentation at all.

lol , gud question - yeah d bcci r more idiotic 4 rulin out chances of whatmore becoming coach n also 4 conducting d selection process hap-hazardly , i mean who will not b annoyed wid how proceedings went n how well advanced d bcci is !!
of course ford was stupid enuf 2 keep us all waiting n den throwing d bombshell , but d bcci deserves a lotta criticism

first fans burn puppets of players
then fans burn houses of players.
later fans burn pets of the players.
what next?
he obviously must have felt to coach good team like india
but,its not his fault that he later realised what a jeopardy he is in.
everybody has a right to live without threat to one's life.
may all live in pease.

Yes you are right he is just (i don't know what!).
He should not have tried out at all if he did not want to take the offer. It just makes sense.
