We only had one.....the last senior bus trip to D.C.
Strange things happened...one of the class clowns rode up and down the elevator standing on his head with his pet monkey, two girls opened a brothel down the hall (the chaperones were next door), cans rolled back and forth on the bus for miles (then the guys threw them over a wall at the bus stop and hit cars...oops),the tour bus driver hit a sign and backed up several times, breaking it in half and five drunks walked across an 8 lane road, singing arm-in-arm at 3 a.m. in heavy traffic....and all while there was protest marching in the street and a tent city erected on the green. It was surreal and far too dangerous for us to even be there in retrospect.
Those are the high school trip memories I will never forget, nor did the school administrators. No seniors ever made another trip.

Well i got to go to spain and england on exchange trips. But specifically field trips....
Going to the Hamilton House (historic home) in the 4th grade. A friend of mine from early childhood had moved away. Although it was only 2 towns away, it may as well have been across the continent. (you must know how it is when your really little no one ever stays friends if they move to the next town went they are like 7. ) Well his mom was a curator/ historian who was a care-taker of historical homes and he had moved to the Hamilton house. So, the day we had our field trip there his mom let him stay home from school to see me and our other 2 good friends ;-) Our parents knew he would be there but they didn’t tell us AND our parents had planned for us to stay there after school was out and came and got us later that night. The best field trip ever!

wow..nice field trip
We went to a dairy farm when I was little (1st grade, I think). This was in the country, where they milked the cows by hand. There were kittens everywhere trying to catch some of the extras. The air smelled sweet, well, outside the barn. It was really neat.

When we spent 3 days and two nights in Charelston SC, we saw gardens, historic mansions/plantations, the coast, a zoo, and we went on a ghost tour in the downtown area at night. It was so much fun!
